Abstract

Zaidi sect as the second most important Shiite sect; It was formed after the uprising of Zayd bin Ali and his martyrdom. The fundamentals of Zaidi belief about Mahdism; The society needs a savior of the end of time, but they disagree with Imamia in the case of Mahdism. Imamiyyah believe in the promised Mahdi, who is the 12th Imam of Shiites in the world, and they believe that he lives in the occult and will appear one day and make the world seek justice. But the Zaidis believe that every imam who meets the conditions of imamate and rises up is the Mahdi and the apocalyptic savior. With these interpretations, the most important difference between Zaydi Shiism and Imami Shiism is that the Zaydi attitude towards Imamate is more political; While the Shia's attitude is based on text and they consider imams to be the successors of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and on their level. However, based on the beliefs of the Zaidis, the Imamate is based on being a Fatimi and rising to Saif, and they do not believe in waiting for the end and the promised savior. Therefore, the main issue here is to examine the belief approach of these two currents regarding the imamate of the Savior, which has been investigated and researched in this article with a comparative comparison of the belief bases of the Zaidiyyah and the Imamiyyah regarding the promised savior of the end of time.
